Hi! Guys.
I am back with a new article on How To Make Money Online From Home By Taking Photographs from your SmartPhone? As I promised in my last post to write about it, so here we go.

Do you know that you can make real money just selling the photographs of your smartphone? Yes, you can. But here a question arises. Where to sell these photographs? There are a number of platforms/websites if you search for the internet, where you can sell photographs. It is tough to distinguish between them. I researched and figured out some of the best platforms on the internet where you can sell your photographs. So here I am listing some of the best websites and platforms where you can sell your photographs. What you will need is a smartphone with a good quality camera and passion for taking photographs. And start making your passion an income generator.

#1.  FOAP

So the first platform that I am going to introduce is Foap. Foap is a legitimate mobile application that lets you sell your pictures by simply uploading it into the app. You can simply register using Facebook or creating an account on it. Once your account is created, start uploading pictures you click from your smartphone.

Foap app is basically based in the picture sell and purchase portal. Once your picture is sold, you will get paid $5. But wait! You will get $5 to Foap for every picture sold and Foap will give you 50% of that.
Somewhere in a blog, I read that this platform also conducts some offers and missions. It gives you the task of clicking a pic on a certain topic and the winner gets 100 US dollars.
It's really genuine and you can make payouts directly in your PayPal account. But remember one thing, though making money online is not a cup of tea. So you must have a good knowledge of photography. Also, it requires the highest quality photographs.

#2. 500px

Here the other one is 500px. 500px is a global photography network and an app having over 15 million creatives from 195 countries who come to discover and share the highest quality photography, gain global exposure and get paid for their work and skills.

500px.com

500px is a platform where photographers aspire and practice to expand, react, and monetize their work.
It was founded by Evgeny Tchebotarev, Oleg Gustol on October 1st, 2009. The headquarter of the company is situated in Toronto, Canada.

#3. Shutterstock

shutterstock

Here comes the name Shutterstock. Many of you are familiar with this name, I guess. You might have seen the watermark on some pictures when you downloaded them. Shutterstock is a stock photography house. And you can make money with this platform. But again I am telling you that making money online is not a cup of tea. If you want to stand out among other photographers in Shutterstock then you really need to create or produce high-quality images for your customers to download.

Uploading images to the Shutterstock is easy and free. And it can be quite profitable over time.
Now the question arises that How do I sell photos/images on Shutterstock?
So let me tell you that it is quite simple and easy to get started. Just follow the below-given steps.
  • Sign Up using the link https://submit.shutterstock.com.
  • Create, produce high-quality images and videos for your customers to download.
  • Submit your content with Shutterstock's easy to use platform.
  • Earn money whenever your content is downloaded by one of their worldwide customers.
The amazing thing about Shutterstock is that whenever your creation is downloaded you get paid. And when every time your content is downloaded you receive a royalty. This royalty rate will increase once you've crossed their earning thresholds like $500, $3,000 and $10,000. That means a new Shutterstock contributor earns $1.88 for every image download. Once the earning reaches $500, the earning rate goes up to $2.48.

#4. SmugMug

Unlike the above-mentioned platforms, SmugMug is a dedicated online portfolio website builder. It is a paid image sharing, image hosting service, and an online video platform on which users can upload photos and videos. You don't need to be a professional photographer as the company facilitates the sale of digital and print media for amateur photographers too.

Photography definitely is an art, but you won't go very far in this path without the right kit. And that kit includes an online portfolio. I know you also agree with this.
The SmugMug platform includes a beautifully designed mobile responsive portfolio templates. Also, it is very easy and quick to get started as you can get your site live in under an hour. There is a wide range of eCommerce options for selling your photos. But it doesn't have a free plan. It is an easy solution but its not exactly pro.
As this is a code-free website builder, you can create a web portfolio every bit as professional as custom made sites by paying a small fee.
Unlike market-leading website builders Wix and Weebly, Smugmug only offers portfolio templates.
So SmugMug is a great choice for everyone who wants to show their visual work online - including artists, designers as well as photographers.

#5. iStockPhoto

When someone searches for the best websites for selling images, then they might have seen iStockPhoto as well on the top list.
iStockPhoto is an online royalty-free stock photography provider.

iStock Photo

In May 2000, the company was founded by Bruce Livingstone. Artists, designers, and photographers worldwide contribute their work on this platform. This web-based platform includes millions of royalty-free stock images, media, and design elements.
Contributing photographers apply before they are eligible to upload their content. Before approved, the applicant's sample images are screened for quality and suitability checks. Once approved, they can start making money by uploading their stock images. According to the data from Wikipedia, the contributors receive a commission between 15% to 40% of each sale.
